A Typical Day at Our Nursery

At Adventure Learning, our innovative and creative staff carefully plan and delivery a range of activities based around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Drop off and registration
Morning starts with the hustle and bustle of arrivals.  Each child is greeted by a member of our team and this is a time for you to update us on anything important we need to know about your child.

Breakfast
Children enjoy breakfast, ready to start their day.

Morning activities
Children will be encouraged to engage in both self-initiated play and the carefully planned activities in line with EYFS.  These activities are designed to enable them to learn, play and explore.

Lunchtime
Lunch is generally around 12:00.  Great importance is placed on meal times as a social occasion for children to make conversation, to relax and have an enjoyable time with everyone.

Sleep time
Younger children may need a sleep during the day.

Afternoon activities
Different activities are planned and resources used so that children present in the morning session take part in different activities.

Tea time
This is usually at around 3:30pm and, a little lighter than lunch, this meal consists of a main course and a pudding.

Home time
When you arrive to take your child home, our nursery team will be available to share any information about their day, pass on any important messages and to chat with you about what the children are learning and how they are developing.
